INSTRUCTION
TO AUTHORS
- Only original works dealing with taxonomy
of invertebrates and theoretical taxonomy may be
published in "Genus". Submit three copies of
the manuscript. All of them should be double-spaced,
clear to read and free from deletions or corrections.
Computer outprints along with computer disc (IBM PC
system only) and RTF internet files will also be
accepted. The language of publication is English. The
name and address (including e-mail) of the author as well
as abstract and key words in English should be given
below the complete title of the manuscript. Do not mark
the shape of pattern of print (except Latin names for
genera and species in italics) and underlining as well in
the text. All the figures should be blocked and drawn in
India ink on tracing paper or white cartridge paper,
computer drawings and photos are also accepted (TIFF
compressed, PCX, JPG). All the figures should be numbered
consecutively and the author's name must appear on block
of figures. Explanations of figures should be taped on a
separate page.
- References should be arranged
alphabetically (and chronologically if more than one work
of a given author is cited):
- journals: GRESSITT, J. L., KIMOTO,
S., 1963. The Chrysomelidae (Coleoptera) of China
and Korea. Part 2. Pacific Ins. Monogr., 16:
301-1026.
- books: KRANTZ, G. W., 1978. A
Manual of Acarology. 2nd ed. Oregon State Univ.

- References in the text should include the
name of author of the cited work and the year of
publishing (BROWN & SMITH 1998 if two authors; SMITH
et al. 1998 if more than two authors).
- Papers above 20 printed pages may be
obtained at a cost to the author/institution at the rate
of 10 U.S. Dollars per each page above 20 (express - 20
U.S. Dollars). Foreign members of Polish Taxonomical
Society get a discount of twenty per cent.
- Every manuscript will be submitted to two
experts for obligatory review. The reviews are anonymous.
The editors will return manuscripts which do not
correspond to the instruction to authors and no
introductory review will be given.
- 50 reprints will be provided free, the
next may be ordered at a cost.
